Speechless
by: Amanda Downing

The words of yesterday
become tomorrow
in a spacious light
of yearn and sorrow
the worst can happen
while using the best
and nothing more
had foresaken all the rest

The candle still burns
though the words are unspoken
the world still turns
and love is mistaken

The words are blurs
hovering
waiting.....
to be said
the mistaken identity STOPS
stops the night
stops the day

This binds around me
is holding me
keeping me
from what I want to be
this angel inside
this devil -- abide
the laws of nature
the laws of speech
just sit there
speechless.

My Room
by: Stacee Lower

Papers, Papers everywhere.
On the floor and in the air.
You're welcome to my room to see.
Look around you won't find me.
There is a floor beneath this stuff.
I just can't seem to get enough.
I'd invite you in with me,
but you'd be buried knee to knee.
My desk is filled with plates and cups.
My mom insists I pick them up.
That's my dresser over there,
covered with clothes I'd like to wear.
Dirty dishes on my shelf.
Must I pick them up myself?
My schoolwork it is stashed o'er there.
This is where I do my hair.
Loud music sometimes fills the air.
Those are the days I just don't care.
The phone is ringing off the hook.
I need to find it, let me look.
Watch your step the path's not clear.
You may have to jump from here.
Christmas lights from wall to wall.
People stand and stare in awe.
The ceiling stars, they shine so bright.
I can not tell when it's midnight.
My favorite pictures are hanging there.
I shouldn't make holes but I don't care.
The closet door won't shut, you see.
My 'fix it' dad says, "It must be me."
The dust cloth's shredded, the vacuum's broke.
I think it's time for a snack and Coke.
I need a maid to clean my room.
Then I wouldn't break the broom.
The lights go out, it's time to sleep.
The junk and I won't make a peep.
The bed's piled high, can't find my way.
I think the couch sounds good today!

"Soulmate" -- A poem about Tay
by: Joely P.

I wonder what you're thinking
In that far-off dreamy look
But you seem to read my soul
Just like you read a book
Your face is like a painting
That no artist could create
And somehow I feel it in my heart
That you are my soulmate
Your sweet voice sings a love song
Like a work of art
And your soft-spoken words
Linger in my heart
Your eyes light up my darkness
Your smile consumes my thoughts
The feelings I have for you inside
Truly cannot be fought
I want to stare into your eyes
And make love to your soul
Your spirt makes me feel complete
And fills this empty hole

Hanson/Taylor
by: Nicole Chapman

I hope and I pray
That somehow someway
I'll get to meet Hanson
I really just may
I'll perform a song with them
And probably go out on a limb
Taylor is fine and Zac is too
But Issac what can we say and what can we do?
You look like Chewbacca that Star Wars dude (just kidding around!)
(Boy I'm in a really weird mood!)
I sing high like Tay
We sound more alike everyday
I really do love him and hopefully one day
We'll meet and we'll kiss and then he'll say:
Can we marry forsay?
And I'll tell him yes
And that he is the best
But until then I'll have to make due with the rest.

*Some of the thoughts I expressed in the poem are not what I actually believe. I actually do not have a favorite Hanson brother. And if Issac ever happens to read this (like that'll ever happen!) no offense to you or your brothers.*

The Ultimate Friendship
by: Kelly Morgan

Here is a poem that I dedicate to the Hanson brothers just cause it is everywhere that they are such great friends and I thought that this suited them……..

The Ultimate Friendship

The morning so beautiful and sweet,
awakens me with you on my mind
the one person who made me so blind
to misery and sorrow.

Joyful thoughts and images
jump into my head
I smile to myself thinking
of the great friend I have in you.

The Friendship you give accomplishes
what no other could.
Your gift for kind words makes
looking forward so easy.

I never thought my future could
be so bright but you made me
see with your words that
it can be what we make of it.

For my appreciation I give you these words
meaning each of them from the heart..
