It was well past midnight,
the moon had begun to drop down into the heavens.
There was not a sound...
save for the song in his head.

Although no one else could hear, all others lay
sleeping...
To him it rang loud.
To him it rang clear.
Before long, words
began to rush forth
from within his heart.

Tonite he would not sleep.
Tonite his body would not slumber.
Tonite his soul was restless.
For tonite a song
begged to be born.

He sat down and his fingertips softly touched
the always familiar keys.

He closed his eyes and he listened
to his heart and to his head.
He closed his eyes and he listened
...to his soul.

The vision within...
the music within...
SUDDENLY sprang forth!

His fingers danced along the keys,
breathing rapidly into the song,
giving it it's own heartbeat,
Strong and Fast, like his own racing heart.

He gave the song LIFE.
He stopped,
but only to put pencil to paper.
certifying the birth of this new song.

And so...
What began as a dream,
pounding deep within his heart,
deep within his thoughts,
and swelling deep within his very soul...

WAS NOW ALIVE!

Skittles are my ultimate treat,
but Smarties are also yummy to eat

Dubble Bubble gum makes bubbles really big,
the original flavour is the kind I dig!

Hershey's cookies and cream is a treat for your tongue,
Oh Henry was my favourite when I was just young.

Chocolate ice cream sends a shiver down my spine,
banana split sundaes are a favourite of mine.

Ice Cream cake's awesome when it comes from DQ,
the home of the Blizzard and Peanut Parfaits too!

But I need not forget Cotton Candy ice cream,
to have it breakfast, lunch and dinner is my life long dream!!

To drink I like the taste of a refreshing, cold Sprite,
Pepsi and Coke just don't taste right.

Mug Root Beer goes great with chip dip,
And Dr. Pepper has some serious zip!

After dinner is over, Oreos are great,
with the creamy white filling I could eat the whole plate!

Cherry Cheese cake is a sinful dish,
to have one calorie-free is my biggest wish.

These are just a few of my favourite treats,
if you couldn't already tell, I have a soft spot for sweets!!

The lights dim and the noise level rises,
The journey down the road has begun.
In the blink of an eye the stage is illuminated with lights,
Three silhouettes can be seen through the curtain.
The energy is sky high,
Adrenaline is racing through the blood of all in attendance.
Shouts and screams can be heard from all directions,
The music must compete with the crowd just to be heard.
Flashes from cameras are brighter than the lights themselves,
All in hope the moment lasts 'forever and a day'.
The crowd knows every song by heart,
Each beat before it is ever played.
They sing with the band,
Never missing a word.
As the journey comes to an end,
The shouts and screams are even louder than before.
The band says good-bye and exits the stage,
Leaving the crowd satisfied but craving more.
It is the night 15,000 people have been anticipating,
For some it is the chance of a lifetime.
It is the night 15,000 people journeyed down The Road To Albertane,
I am one of those 15,000 people experiencing the journey.
