Diane's Detroit Palace Review
July 28, 1998

Hanson fans - they aren't limited to adolescent girls!

First off, the concert at The Palace was my best experience on the Albertane Tour yet! Because it's an indoor venue, the sound system was more efficient - you could actually understand what the guys would say between songs very clearly! And, the light show - WOW! It was spectacular. Isaac, Taylor, and Zac seemed so relaxed and right at home talking to the crowd like we were old friends because they'd already done a show in Detroit just a few weeks earlier. And the music, well, all I can say is WOW!

It was also a great time because I was there with my family. My nephew, my sister-in-law, and my mom were there to share the fun with me! We had a little after-the-concert party to eat munchies and talk about the highlights of the concert.

Biggest surprise...
The stage looked like the Live at the 10 Spot concert.
Biggest disappointment...
"I didn't get squirted with a Super Soaker and I didn't get an autograph from Isaac, Taylor, and Zac."
Funniest moment...
When a beach ball flew from the crowd and hit Isaac right in the nose!
My advice for ITZ...
At the beginning of the show, you should yell as loud as you can: "Please be quiet!"

Taylor when he would bend over and flip his hair back - which he did ... alot!

Admiral Twin wore suits!
Biggest disappointment...
The huge video screen in center court wasn't on for Hanson like it was for Admiral Twin.
Funniest moment...
Funny? Was it supposed to be funny?
My advice for ITZ...
Ride this wave as long as you can guys!
I'm a Hanson fan because...
Isaac, Taylor and Zac are WYSIWYG - What you see is what you get! Their personalities on stage are just like they are in their television interviews.

Most fun watching...
Mrs. Hanson with her baby back at the sound board. What must she think of 20,000 people screaming for her sons?
Biggest surprise...
It wasn't a big showy production - it was just 3 boys enjoying themselves and playing great music.
Biggest disappointment...
"I didn't get to sit with my son, Torrey! He and Diane had great seats and we were in nosebleed seats."
Funniest moment...
When Isaac jumped off the drum stand during MFM. He ended up rolled over on his back with his feet in the air!
My advice for ITZ...
Stay who you are!

Yearbook. At least this week ... I really like them all!
Fave song live...
With You in Your Dreams ... Zac on the drums, Taylor on the keyboards, and Taylor's acapella ending - just beautiful!
But there's more! Money, Ever Lonely, Good Lovin', Summertime Blues, More Than Anything ... too many to go on!
Most fun watching...
Taylor on the keyboards. Because I play piano and our seats were 8 rows up from the floor on Taylor's side, I was just enamored with the way he pounds on those keyboards!
Biggest surprise...
That they played BOTH Money and Madeline - WAHOO! Taylor asked the crowd if they should play both and the ROAR was deafening.
Biggest disappointment...
I didn't get to meet any of my cyberbuddies this time - and some of my friends got to meet both Admiral Twin and Hanson.
Funniest moment...
When Taylor held up the show because he just had to refill his Super Soaker and spray the crowd one more time!
My advice for ITZ...
They seem to have it all pretty well under control. I guess to keep it up as long as they can ... cause I'll always be listening.
