Christi's Denver Review
July 18, 1998

Before I get to what I'm going to say, I will say this: IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! O.k. Where to begin. Well, I got up at 3:45 in the morning with my sister and my friend. We left at 5:00 and got there at 6:00. But we found out we couldn't line up until 12:00. We did a lot of running around in our car. While waiting, we came upon these fans that were there over night. And the night before the concert at 7:00, Hanson came by to film their family. They met Hanson and said they were really nice. They said Ike was really, really funny. They didn't see much of Zac at all. He spent the time in the tour bus. He got mad because a fan called him Zaccy-poo. He yelled, "Don't call me that!", and angrily ran to the tour bus. That's what we heard, anyway.

Well, at 12:00, the gates finally opened for us to line up. We spent 4 1/2 hours in the sun in line. We heard them soundchecking. We heard Ike and Tay talking. We heard them all singing. The fans started screaming every time they heard drums. While we were waiting for the gates to open, we saw the tour bus. It drove right by us. Anyway, before the gates opened, I thought there was going to be some fighting between the parents. They were yelling at anyone that got in there way. Jeez! I gave my sister the bags along with my friend, and I got toward the front of the line and ran to our seats. See, we have general addmission, so it's first come first serve. I got third row. I was so psyched! People were claiming to see Tay and Zac. They saw Zac run to the tour bus. Tay was peeking behind the corner and taking pictures of the girls. I didn't see him, though. But, my sister left to make a phone call, but couldn't find a phone. On her way back down, she saw a ton of girls hanging over a ledge looking down. So, she squeezed her way through to see what the commotion was. After standing there for about a minute or so, she saw Diana walk out carrying Zoe, and another lady was with her. After a little while later she saw Mackie run to the tour bus. He was so adorable!!! Then, not long after that, she saw Avery walk out. The girls screamed her name, and she gave everyone a nasty annoyed look. Oh well!! But, she didn't see Hanson, because they were being stubborn. After about 15 minutes before the concert started, my sis went to find a phone again, I heard screaming down by the stage. I went down there to see what all the fuss was about. Come to find out, they had seen Zac. I saw him come out, drinking water, and he waved to everyone. I waved back. It was cool! My sister was just getting back when Baha Men came out. They rocked!! They really got the crowd going on, and got them into it. Their worth buying. Admiral Twin was groovy. I love rock and roll, and that's exactly what this was. But, they didn't get the crowd into it very much. Baha Men got a better response. Well, afer Admiral Twin was done, 30 minutes later, Hanson would come out. Everyone was really excited and pumped up. Including me and my sis!!!!!

Everyone in the front row, went down to the barricade, and we went down to the front row. So, technically, I saw them from front row. It rocked!!! They got a HUGE response. (duh). The screaming was loud. My ears are still ringing. They started out with "Gimme Some Lovin'". Screaming girls, the whole time. Hanson said that Red Rocks (Denver) was the loudest so far, and the best place to play. How cool!!! What an honor. Ike looked right at me and my sis. The vicinity of where we were. Then, I was making kissing signs to Hanson, to see what they would do. Sure enough, Tay smiled at me!!!! It was so cute!!!! Ike was shaking his little booty at the crowd. The crowd loved it!!!! I did, and so did my sis!!!! (She's 17 and has a HUGE crush on Ike :0) He looked great. He had his hair down until he sang "More Than Anything". I would have to say, that was one of the prettiest songs I've ever heard. I didn't cry, though. Taylor looked great. Smiled a lot, like Ike. I kept screaming Zac's name and "Zac, over here" so he would look at that part of the crowd, but he didn't look. He heard me because I saw him smiling. :0) A LOT!!!!! But, he didn't sing much at all. On "Money", Zac sang lead, and all the girls screamed, so it was really hard to hear when he did sing. Tay squirted me square in the face. The girls moved, and he shot the squirt gun, and soaked me. I was literally dripping wet. Zac shot my sister with water (not a real gun). The water was really sweet she said, because it got in her mouth. Ike really was getting the crowd into it. He was constantly running around and jumpind off of Zac's stage. Toward the end, he got up there, jumped then skidded on his' knees to where Tay was. He got up and smiled, shaking his head at himself. But, he loved that response the girls gave him. That was when the screaming was unbearable. I loved it when Tay took over on the drums, and Zac went and squirted the audience with water. Tay was really good. Oh, yeah, Tay went over to Zac and pointed to him to get the crowd screaming for him. He just kept pointing at gestering for the crowd to scream louder. Boy, did they! Ike took over the keyboards, so Tay could shoot the crowd with water. On "Man From Milwaukee", Ike screwed up on the guitar at the beginning, and laughed at himself. Oh well, it was still cute! But, what made me kind of mad, they didn't come over to the part of the stage that we were near. Tay, was shaking hands, and I went to see if he would grab mine, but stopped like 3 feet away from me. *Sigh* There was so much, I can't describe all of it. I was so bummed when the concert ended. I had so much fun. I've never had so much fun in my life. Oh, and Walker recorded me and my sister. It was cool. I will hopefully be on the tape. Walker is awesome on the camera.

When we left, we couldn't stop talking about it. Our parents saw them run to the bus. They were in a hurry. I touched the tour bus. I can say that much. They had to catch a 12:15 flight to Seattle. They hopped directly out of the van into the bus. If they didn't get in there sooner, they would have been mobbed by girls.

That day was hot and I sweat off like a pound. All the running up and down the stairs, jumping for Hanson, and screaming, me and my sis lost a lot of weight!!! And, we didn't eat. I wasn't hungry.

This will be one of the most memorable days of our lives. We had so much fun. I never wanted it to end. But like all things, it must come to an end.
